(Special Flavors is) a web site
for the busy cook. They offer excellent pointers to web shopping
sources, and a bunch of recipes. The latter appeal to me because they
are often just suggestions of which ingredients meld well together,
rather than step by step instructions. There's a good editorial voice to
this site and some yummy food behind it.

I visited your
Special Flavors site and was most impressed. Everything is very well
written and very user friendly. I'm rather impressed with the
recipes (I read almost all of them). I like the way you refer to
the masters (Waters, Child, Hazan, etc.) and tie together some of their
insights and ideas with your recipes.
I have become something of a cookbook
freak. I have yet to see a book with your particular approach - gourmet
cuisine that is prepared at home by people who are too busy to spend a
lot of time at it. Maybe one exists, but I haven't seen it. It occupies
a nice niche. I'm pleased to have the site, and I will be trying some of
the recipes soon.
